"Touch the Stars"
Participants make a star finder during the day followed by a star walk at night. The richly-illustrated star finder brings age-old heroes and heroines of myth and history back to life. The star walk uses the Big Dipper and the Summer Triangle to find constellations, stars and the Milky Way. As an added extra, children enjoy using sextants (quadrants) to find distances to other states and countries! Please inquire for details.
Sundial-Making/Sextant-Making Workshops
For family fun these wizardly wonderworks bring out the artist in everyone. They are made of white pine, enhanced with acrylic paints and/or colored pencils. Treated with water-based sealer or varnish for protection and beauty. Please inquire for details.
